Fujitsu Peripherals Co. - Customer Case Study

Fujitsu Peripherals Co., a manufacturer of computer peripherals, faced rising pressure to shorten production times and improve picking efficiency in its warehouses where worker flows, walking distances and manual workflow measurement created variability and delays. To tackle these challenges the company adopted UBIQUITOUSWARE, an IoT solution built on Quuppa technology, to capture real-time movement data and replace intuition-driven process design.

Using Quuppa-based RTLS, Fujitsu deployed Locators across a ~7,000 m2 warehouse (handling ~15,000 shipments/day and ~12,000 part types) and equipped workers with small trackable badges; data were fed into the VPSGP4 planning tool for 3D analysis. The Quuppa-enabled solution automatically and accurately records worker movements, makes inefficient workflows visible, and has already provided measurable operational insight—enabling ongoing workflow optimization since the project began in January 2016.
