Dedeman Mining, one of Turkey’s leading private miners, faced new post-2014 safety regulations requiring real-time underground location and headcounts across deep, confined mine shafts (up to 400 m deep and 5 km range). To meet these requirements they selected a Quuppa-powered Bluetooth location solution implemented by Tagvance to provide robust, tunnel-capable tracking with high accuracy and reliability.

Tagvance deployed the Quuppa-based system across 6 Dedeman sites in 1–2 weeks per installation, installing 70 locators and over 500 helmet-mounted tags connected to industrial computers via armoured fiber. The solution delivers sub‑10 m accuracy, offline operation, two‑way alerts, and 1–2 year tag battery life; as a result Dedeman achieved regulatory compliance, improved worker safety confidence, and unlocked new uses for performance and equipment monitoring. Quuppa’s platform was central to these measurable outcomes.
