Municipal Corporation for Greater Mumbai (MCGM) faced major healthcare challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing TB burden in Mumbai, a densely populated city with large slum communities and many migrant workers. Qure.ai supported the city’s frontline healthcare response with AI-powered chest X-ray screening and monitoring tools, including qXR and qTrack, to help triage patients, identify asymptomatic cases, and manage disease progression when RT-PCR kits were scarce.

Qure.ai deployed its solutions across more than 15 BMC sites, dedicated COVID centers, mobile screening hotspots, peripheral hospitals, and medical colleges, as well as on RNTEP mobile vans for TB active case finding. The results included screening 45,000+ chest X-rays for TB, screening 35,000+ patients under COVID purview, and helping BMC detect 20–30% additional TB cases through AI by flagging presumptive cases from routine X-rays for faster follow-up and diagnosis.
