vRad, a leading US teleradiology provider connected to 2,100 hospitals and radiology groups, faced growing pressure to deliver fast, around-the-clock stroke coverage amid staffing shortages, difficult critical-case triage, and rising imaging volumes. To help radiologists make quicker clinical decisions and improve patient outcomes, vRad turned to Qure.ai and its qER head CT AI solution for bleed detection and study prioritization.

Qure.ai integrated qER into vRad’s workflow to flag critical non-contrast head CTs, alerting radiologists and neurocritical care teams sooner. The result was faster triage and diagnosis, including alerts delivered in under 3 minutes and a reduction in emergent case turnaround time to about 6.8 minutes; vRad also processed 4 million scans, prioritized 4,000 head CTs per month, and flagged about 7% as critical, with qER showing an AUC of 0.96.
