ALPA's Multi-Channel Grassroots Campaign Helps Secure $61 Billion in Relief Funding

Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) needed to quickly mobilize its members as Congress negotiated the CARES Act and the airline industry faced severe pandemic-related disruption. ALPA turned to Quorum and its grassroots advocacy tools to help get lawmakers’ attention with a coordinated campaign that could drive timely action from pilots and their networks.

Using Quorum’s Grassroots platform and integrated email tool, Outbox, ALPA launched editable letter-writing and social media campaigns, enabling pilots, friends, and family to contact legislators and share posts publicly. The effort generated more than 150,000 messages to policymakers, including over 135,000 letters and nearly 15,000 social posts, helping support the passage of the CARES Act and contributing to $61 billion in relief funding for the airline industry.
