America Polywater Corp, a global manufacturer of cable-pulling lubricants and related products, needed to move its backup strategy offsite after relocating its offices. With its critical SQL Server-based systems supporting CRM and ERP operations, the company wanted stronger disaster recovery protection than its former local Dell SonicWALL CDP setup. Quorum helped address that need with its onQ solution.

Quorum deployed two onQ appliances, one at headquarters and one offsite, to maintain up-to-date virtual machine clones and ready-to-run recovery nodes for fast failover. The result was a simple, self-contained DR system that could restore services in minutes, while also improving testing and development workflows; for example, a Goldmine update test that would normally take a day or two took just three minutes in Quorum’s sandbox. Quorum also provided proactive monitoring, catching backup issues before America Polywater noticed them.
