Weber School District, a large Utah K-12 district serving more than 30,000 students across 50+ schools, needed a reliable way to store and review video surveillance footage to support student and staff safety. With more than 1,200 cameras and heavy read/write demands from its Genetec video management system, the district needed storage that could scale quickly, stay always available, and be easy for a lean IT team to manage.

Qumulo replaced the district’s previous storage and delivered real-time visibility, stronger performance, and much better scale. With Qumulo, Weber School District expanded from about 120TB and 12 days of footage to up to 750TB and 30 days of retention, while improving reliability for continuous video recording.
