The San Diego Supercomputer Center Supersizes Advanced Storage With Qumulo

San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) needed a storage platform that could keep up with massive scientific data growth, demanding high-performance workloads, and a move toward integrating on-prem and cloud storage. SDSC turned to Qumulo to provide persistent storage for its clients and science gateways, replacing the burden of managing multiple inefficient storage systems.

Qumulo delivered cloud-native file storage with very low latency, high IOPS, strong throughput, and simple deployment and management. The result was significant adoption at SDSC, including support for more than two dozen University of California research labs and departments, while freeing staff to focus engineering time on high-impact grant work instead of storage administration.
