Eight Solutions, a Vancouver-based media technology company, needed to expand storage capacity and performance while building an internal development environment that could mimic customer storage setups for testing and workflow modeling. The company was also looking for better analytics and a more cost-effective alternative to legacy scale-out NAS, and chose Qumulo’s modern scale-out storage platform.

Qumulo implemented a QC24 hybrid storage cluster with NFS, SMB, REST support, and Qumulo Care enterprise support. The result was rock-solid performance with almost no administration, real-time visibility into data usage and performance, and easy pay-as-you-grow scalability. Eight Solutions also reported that Qumulo topped performance tests, reduced storage management time to nearly zero, and gained useful integration options through the REST API.
