Jam Filled Entertainment, the Ottawa-based animation studio and division of Boat Rocker Media, was struggling with rapid file data growth and unreliable legacy storage that threatened production deadlines and created daily downtime and support issues. To keep up with its expanding slate of shows and multi-studio workflows, Jam Filled turned to Qumulo and its File Data Platform to centralize and manage massive production files across its studios.

Qumulo implemented a scalable, high-performance file data environment with simple administration, real-time analytics, and automation through APIs, helping Jam Filled support about 4PB of data across three studios. The results were significant: downtime dropped from about half a day each week to zero, weekly support tickets fell from more than 15 to none, data center space was cut from 12U to 6U, and the team gained faster performance, higher productivity, and more time for innovation.
