A Quix Case Study
ju:niz, a German renewable energy company, needed a better way to monitor and manage a growing fleet of 25 distributed plants. Their existing setup used InfluxDB v1 at the edge, limited 5-second data capture, and unreliable custom scripts, making it difficult to access detailed plant data or identify exactly which devices were failing.
Using Quix and InfluxDB v3, ju:niz built a centralized monitoring pipeline that collected data from multiple InfluxDB instances and new plant sources into a single production bucket, with preprocessing and backpressure control to keep ingestion stable. With Quix, they increased data collection capacity by 1500x, cut storage costs by 100x, and scaled to processing 30TB of data per month, while enabling far more granular alerting and visibility down to individual battery cells.
