Starbucks clocks up 98% usage of Quinyx app

Starbucks, the global coffee retailer, needed a better way to manage scheduling and partner engagement across its 360 equity stores, many in the UK. The company had previously relied on Excel for scheduling, which was time-consuming and manual, and wanted a more flexible, user-friendly tool that could support its diverse workforce and HR needs. Starbucks chose Quinyx and its app to improve scheduling, communication, and access to partner data.

Quinyx implemented its workforce management app at Starbucks in a phased rollout, starting with a few stores and expanding after testing and feedback. The results were strong: scheduling time fell from three or four hours to about 30 minutes, and app usage peaked at 98.4%, or nearly 5,500 team members. Starbucks also linked Quinyx to payroll and other systems, giving managers and partners better access to data and boosting flexibility, engagement, and retention.
