A Quickbase Case Study
Procter & Gamble’s Global Business Services (GBS) confronted fragmented project data and cumbersome, spreadsheet-driven processes that created information silos, duplicated work, and required extensive meetings and administrative effort to reconcile thousands of records. This lack of global visibility and standardization hindered collaboration, made forecasting and resource alignment slow and error-prone, and diverted staff from strategic work.
GBS implemented Quick Base to build a centralized, web-accessible portfolio (GBS Portfolio) and nearly 70 customizable apps that provide real-time, role-based access to common data, rapid deployment, and easy integration with existing systems. The change cut reporting and meeting time dramatically (eliminating roughly 18–24 days of meetings per person per year), reduced maintenance to a single FTE for hundreds of apps, accelerated processes (PMO tasks reduced from days to hours; capital reporting to ~2 hours/month), and delivered sustained cost savings, higher productivity, and increased user satisfaction.
