A Quickbase Case Study
The City of Philadelphia Department of Planning and Development (DPD) works with residents, agencies, developers, and funders to create safe, livable neighborhoods, but faced challenges coordinating across disparate tech stacks, granting secure access to partners outside the city network, collecting public information, and continuing services during COVID-19 with limited staff and funding.
DPD adopted Quickbase to build low-code, secure public-facing apps—including Rent Assist, Restore/Repair/Renew, Philly First Home, and an Eviction Diversion tool—using REST APIs to deploy solutions rapidly. The result: faster, safer data collection and applicant processing, improved public communication, the ability to manage large projects with limited resources, increased agility to make changes, and a suite of about ten Quickbase apps supporting departmental programs.
