The customer, a top-tier biopharmaceutical company, faced the challenge of improving predictions for which non-small cell lung cancer patients would respond to immunotherapy. They partnered with Quibim to develop an AI model that could predict treatment response using baseline chest CT scans, aiming to enhance future clinical trial design.

Quibim harmonized a large dataset of over 1000 CT scans and then developed a validated AI algorithm. This solution correctly predicted patient response to immunotherapy in 80% of cases. The biopharmaceutical partner plans to license the model for improved patient selection, and Quibim will incorporate the algorithm into its QP-Lung® product.
