A Queue-it Case Study
Varsity Trip, the Oxford/Cambridge University snowsports event, faced recurring booking-system crashes and slowdowns whenever thousands of students rushed to secure places, causing delays and lots of complaints. To improve the booking experience, Varsity Trip worked with Queue-it to add virtual waiting room protection during the initial ticket rush and later during hotel room allocation.
Queue-it dynamically managed the flow of users back into the booking system as capacity opened up, helping prevent overload and keeping the process stable. The result was a much smoother launch: all 2,500 places sold out in under 30 hours, compared with 10 days the year before, and Varsity Trip reported that complaints turned into compliments after using Queue-it.
