A Queue-it Case Study
Harvey Nichols, the luxury British department store and global retailer, needed a way to protect its website from peak-traffic overload as it prepared for a high-profile Fenty Beauty launch and other major sales events. After moving to AWS and making infrastructure changes, the team wanted a reliable “insurance policy” to prevent downtime and preserve a consistent customer experience. Queue-it’s virtual waiting room was selected to help manage demand.
Queue-it implemented its virtual waiting room, including the SafetyNet feature, to monitor traffic and automatically queue excess users once capacity thresholds were exceeded. The solution helped Harvey Nichols maintain website performance, offload up to 8,000 users at a time, and smoothly handle flash sales and Black Friday while giving shoppers clear wait-time and queue-position updates in a branded experience.
