A Questionmark Case Study
Washington County Sheriff's Office, a 550‑person law‑enforcement agency in Oregon serving about a half million people, needed a reliable way to educate employees about sexual‑harassment policy, measure compliance, and identify supervisors who weren’t enforcing the rules. To address this, the Professional Standards Unit began using Questionmark’s survey and assessment tools in 2006 to gather employee feedback and test understanding of harassment issues.
Questionmark delivered annual harassment surveys with embedded education and realistic scenarios, plus post‑training feedback and electronic tests for new deputies, replacing handwritten exams and spreadsheets. The Questionmark reporting tools saved staff time, gave quick insight into policy compliance, helped pinpoint supervisors who needed corrective action, and improved employees’ understanding of what constitutes harassment, supporting the sheriff’s goal of a harassment‑free workplace.
