A Questionmark Case Study

Sanlam - Customer Case Study

Sanlam Personal Finance, a provider of life insurance and personal financial services across South Africa, Namibia and the UK, needed a reliable way to document regulatory compliance and demonstrate employee competence. Sanlam had used Questionmark assessments for a decade and elected to integrate the Questionmark assessment platform with its SAP Human Resources and Learning Management System so assessments could be linked to qualifications, learning profiles and the company’s organizational structure.

Questionmark delivered a blended, scalable assessment solution—authoring tools, rich item types (HotSpot, Drag-and-Drop, Captivate-enabled items), offline delivery and comprehensive reporting—integrated with SAP HR/LMS. The combined system supports distributed authoring across seven business units, delivers roughly 14,000 assessments per month to about 4,000 active users (with offline delivery to ~2,000 people), replaced paper-based tests, reduced training costs, improved eLearning uptake and gave managers actionable reports (Questionmark and SAP org-level reports) to track competence and close knowledge gaps.
