Rio Salado College, a leading e-learning institution serving more than 60,000 students (over 25,000 online) with 435+ online courses, faced the challenge of delivering and managing thousands of assessments for distance learners and proctored high‑stakes exams. Since 2000 the college has used Questionmark to create, schedule and deliver tests for online courses, growing its repository to nearly 10,000 assessments and more than 87,000 items.

Questionmark’s Enterprise Manager and upgraded platform centralized items in a single repository, automated scheduling so the right test is delivered to the right student at the right time, and eliminated the need to fax paper exams to remote proctors. The upgrade to Questionmark v4 also streamlined revision and scoring (including rubrics, annotation and in‑line comments) and produced item‑analysis reports that help faculty improve questions — delivering clear time savings, operational efficiency and better assessment quality.
