Non-Profit Youth Organization Assesses Leaders with Questionmark

Young Life, a non‑denominational Christian youth organization active in all 50 states and over 45 countries with 3,200 staff and more than 30,000 volunteers, needed a scalable way to orient and train a widely dispersed workforce without the travel expense and inconsistent reach of centralized sessions. To solve this, Young Life turned to Questionmark’s online assessment and survey platform to move handbooks and orientation materials into interactive web courses with associated tests and surveys.

Using Questionmark, Young Life converted manuals into modular online courses, integrated single sign‑on with existing user accounts, delivered instant pass/fail feedback, and automated notifications to area directors when participants failed assessments. The result was broader reach (including thousands of volunteers), standardized messaging across U.S. and international sites, measurable tracking of course completion and scores, and several hundred members already trained online — reducing travel costs and enabling targeted coaching based on Questionmark’s results.
