MGMA-ACMPE gives more certification exams, with less strain on staff

MGMA-ACMPE, the membership association for medical practice administrators and leaders, needed to move away from paper-and-pencil certification exams and expand testing opportunities without overloading staff. In 2002 the association chose Questionmark’s assessment management system to computerize exams, but running an internal delivery network remained labor-intensive and limited test locations and dates.

To solve this, MGMA-ACMPE migrated to Questionmark OnDemand, a secure hosted delivery service, enabling delivery at more than 230 ACT testing centers with six dates per quarter. The switch allowed MGMA-ACMPE to administer about 600 exams per year—a 33% increase in one year—while avoiding additional staff costs, freeing internal IT resources, reducing stress, and improving predictability and security.
