Magazin Malogo Kreditovaniya (MMK), the lender behind the Russian payday-loan brand Bystrodengi, issues short-term loans using only a passport for ID. Rapid growth exposed an antiquated passport-scanning process: thousands of daily scans handled by a 1,500‑person data team, frequent equipment failures, complex training and IT spending roughly 20% of its time on scanning faults, creating a bottleneck that limited loan volume and business growth.
MMK implemented Quest RemoteScan, a simple, fast-to-install solution supporting TWAIN/WIA devices and desktop/network scanning into hosted apps. RemoteScan halved average scan time (from ten to five minutes), removed IT involvement in scanner issues, enabled automation and higher customer throughput, preserved network performance, and ultimately increased the number of loans issued and revenue.
