Dell’s Enterprise Business Intelligence group at Dell supports internal teams like tech support, call centers and help desks but was struggling with a growing volume of disparate data and manually intensive reporting. Analysts had to build and run custom scripts, monitor reports at varied intervals (sometimes overnight) and lacked a centralized, repeatable process to scale with business demand.
The team implemented Toad Data Point and Toad Intelligence Central to centralize, automate and schedule data preparation and report publishing across Teradata, SQL and spreadsheet sources, with secure administration and SharePoint/email delivery. The automation saves each analyst about 3–4 hours per day (roughly 40% of their time), reduces redundancy, improves transparency and frees capacity for more strategic work while enabling rapid prototyping and easier scaling.
