Amway, a global consumer‑products company with about 19,000 employees, needed to move its email and calendar systems from IBM Notes to Microsoft Office 365 to modernize communications and reduce costs. With a one‑year mandate and limited in‑house migration experience, the IT team required expert tools and services to complete a large, complex migration with minimal user disruption.
Amway engaged Quest Services and used Quest migration tools (Migrator for Notes to Exchange, Coexistence Manager for Notes, and Migration Manager for AD) to execute the move. The team migrated 19,000 mailboxes and a year’s worth of calendar data in six months — on time and under budget — while maintaining directory, free/busy and calendar coexistence, transferring knowledge to Amway staff, and earning the migration team Amway’s prestigious CIO Awards.
