Ignite Business Communications, a U.K. managed service provider, identified that many small and medium businesses relied on fragile tape backups and lacked affordable disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Faced with increasing ransomware risk and slow, error-prone restores, Ignite set out to offer a scalable DR service that delivers predictable recovery points and times.
Ignite built a Cloud Backup and Recovery service around Quest Rapid Recovery, replicating client data to an on‑premises server and then to multiple datacenters. The managed setup enables fast local restores for routine issues and full datacenter failover (plus DR Suite office support) for major incidents—cutting recovery from days to about 2–4 hours, enabling rapid recovery from a CryptoLocker attack, and providing file-to-server recovery across its client base.
