A Quest Case Study
Boston’s Huntington Theatre, a nonprofit performing-arts organization, was hampered by aging computers and an unreliable, hard-to-use backup system that caused frequent productivity losses, short retention windows, manual tape handling and the risk of downtime that could disrupt productions and ticketing.
The theatre implemented Quest AppAssure for backup, replication and recovery, enabling fast file-, folder- and full-drive restores, real-time replication to a secondary site, and high compression (storing 5–6 TB on a 4 TB NAS). The change cut estimated annual backup costs by about 25–30%, eliminated tapes and dedicated servers, made backups effectively “set it and forget it,” and became the centerpiece of a reliable disaster-recovery plan.
