St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital, a 571-bed healthcare facility with about 4,000 employees, needed to modernize its IT service desk and automate the upgrade of hundreds of PCs across its main campus and statewide clinics. IT was relying on a manual, USB-by-USB imaging process and an inflexible ticketing system that limited reporting, customization and broader departmental use.

The hospital deployed Quest KACE Systems Management and Deployment Appliances to provide a customizable service desk plus full inventory, asset management and automated imaging. The KACE solution let IT image multiple endpoints at once (saving roughly 30 minutes per machine), create bootable media for offline clinics, extend ticketing to other departments, tighten security for HIPAA compliance and free staff to focus on projects like the Windows 10 migration and electronic medical records.
