A global transportation and logistics company (headquartered in the US with 64,000 employees) depends on Oracle and SQL Server databases to power supply chain, warehousing and freight management across many geographies. The database team struggled to identify which SQL Server queries were causing blocking—blocked process reports were only available after the fact and lacked transaction history—so troubleshooting was largely reactive and root-cause analysis was severely hampered.
