A Quest Case Study
Coastal Community Credit Union (CCCU), a 1,300‑employee financial institution in Canada serving over 120,000 members, had to rapidly pivot when hundreds of back‑office staff moved to remote work. Faced with a shortage of hardware and a mix of laptops, tablets and all‑in‑one desktops, IT needed to ensure remote devices had secure, consistent images and software while maintaining strict asset visibility and patching controls.
CCCU deployed Quest KACE tools—using the Systems Deployment Appliance (SDA) for gold images, scripted and automated installs, and the Systems Management Appliance (SMA) (with Desktop Authority) for inventory, patching, security and help‑desk management. The result was faster, reliable imaging and deployments, centralized asset and patch management, streamlined support workflows and increased confidence in device security and software consistency for hundreds of remote users.
