Quanum RCM helps MA practice improve billing

Dr. Harry Mayer, a family medicine practice in Attleboro, MA, had long used Quest Diagnostics for lab services and began using Quest’s Quanum EHR in 2007. By 2016, the office needed a better billing solution because its previous billing company had poor communication, allowed claims to be written off after denials, and did not sync with the EHR, forcing staff to manage two systems and risking missed resubmissions.

Quest Diagnostics implemented Quanum RCM, along with Quanum PM and the existing Quanum EHR, to create a more integrated workflow for billing, scheduling, eligibility checks, and appointment reminders. The practice reported significantly less time spent in accounts receivable, fewer denials, better communication with the billing team, and fewer no-shows thanks to automated reminders—helping Dr. Harry Mayer’s office avoid write-offs and reduce front-office workload.
