Florida practice makes the switch to Quanum EHR

Ormond Medical Center, a multidisciplinary family medicine practice in Ormond Beach, Florida, began converting from paper charts to electronic health records in 2012 and needed a better way to support workflows, communication, and Medicare reporting requirements. The practice, which includes physicians, chiropractors, and nurse practitioners, was preparing to move toward CMS Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program participation and Stage 1 Meaningful Use attestation.

Quest Diagnostics provided Quanum EHR, along with eLabs and ePrescribing, to help Ormond Medical Center streamline its transition from paper and a previous EHR system. The practice gained easier access to organized patient information, improved communication among staff, reduced paper use, and mobile access via an iPad app; with Quest Diagnostics’ Quanum solution in place, Ormond Medical Center successfully attested for Stage 1 Meaningful Use in 2015.
