Boston-area doctor goes “all in” with Quanum EHR

Dr. Stuart Schneller, a Boston-area rheumatologist with a private practice in Brighton, Massachusetts, wanted to move from paper records to an electronic health record in 2012. Because he split his time between three locations and needed a mobile, cloud-based system, he looked for a solution that would fit his workflow without tying him to one office. Vendor Quest Diagnostics provided the Quanum EHR and Practice Management platform.

Quest Diagnostics implemented Quanum EHR and PM, along with eLabs and ePrescribing, giving Dr. Schneller access to patient records and test results from his laptop, smartphone, or tablet at any location. He went fully electronic from day one, and Quest Diagnostics’ existing lab data helped him avoid creating files for about 800 patients, saving significant transition time. Dr. Schneller said the system improved practice unification, mobility, and usability, and he found it easier to use than other EHRs he had used before.
