INEOS Köln - Customer Case Study

INEOS Köln, a major petrochemical site and one of the largest chemical companies in the world, faced the ongoing challenge of preventing accidents and environmental incidents across a 24/7 operation with some 2,000 employees. To further its long-standing commitment to environment, health and safety (ISO 14001/45001/50001) and its goal of zero accidents and zero environmental incidents, INEOS Köln implemented the web-based Quentic EHS software in 2014.

Quentic centralized previously scattered EHS processes using modules such as Health & Safety and Hazardous Materials, enabling near‑miss and unsafe-situation reporting, immediate notifications to responsible staff, and mail-ready accident notices within seconds. The Quentic solution also provides a searchable hazardous materials register with automated safety-data-sheet update alerts and streamlined audit planning; together these improvements increased transparency, sped up response and compliance, and helped INEOS Köln make measurable progress toward reducing incidents.
