Handling Hazardous Waste Safely

ARBURG GmbH + Co KG, a leading German manufacturer of injection molding machines with around 2,000 employees, faced increasing complexity in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) processes and stricter documentation obligations under changing energy law. The company had fragmented tools (Access databases, Word files and specialist programs) and needed a single system—so since 2012 ARBURG has relied on Quentic’s EHS/CSR software to centralise its EHS processes.

Quentic delivered a modular, integrated solution (Hazardous Materials, Environmental Management, Health & Safety, Risks & Audits, Legal Compliance and Processes) to centralise SDS management, GHS/CLP labelling, storage checks, automated supplier requests/reminders, waste registration and audit tracking. As a result ARBURG now runs roughly 50 audits per year, maintains over 1,000 working/hazardous materials, records more than 60 waste types (20+ hazardous) and logged over 2,000 waste processes in three years—data that can be visualised and analysed instantly, improving processing speed, documentation and compliance with Quentic.
