Energy efficient with ISO 50001

WITTE Automotive, a family-run automotive supplier with more than 3,000 employees, needed to centralize and professionalize its energy management to meet the requirements of ISO 50001. Until 2014 the company relied on chaotic Excel lists and incompatible audit tools, which made data maintenance, evaluations and audit reporting time-consuming. To address this, WITTE Automotive implemented Quentic’s online HSE and Sustainability software (including Environmental Management, Risks & Audits and other modules) to map its entire energy management system across all sites.

Using Quentic, WITTE Automotive began recording energy consumption by facility and meter, enabled continuous target–actual comparisons, and captured audit and inspection results in one system. Within a few months the company had its energy management system in place and achieved ISO 50001 certification; everyday use across German sites lets supervisors generate standardized reports, spot energy “guzzlers,” initiate efficiency measures, and reduce costs through optimized processes. Quentic’s quick visualizations and consolidated data have sped decision-making and simplified monitoring of energy objectives.
