A Quentic Case Study
DATEV, a large German IT service and software cooperative, faced the challenge of overhauling its hazardous materials management to comply with the CLP Regulation and the revised Hazardous Substances Ordinance (GefStoffV). Their legacy MS Access register and Excel-based SDS storage, plus fragmented departmental processes and strict data‑security needs, could not meet legal and operational requirements. To address this, DATEV selected Quentic’s web‑based software for Health & Safety, Environmental Management (HSE) and Sustainability.
Quentic implemented a central Hazardous Materials register (together with Quentic Core, Health & Safety, Legal Compliance and Environmental Management modules) that now holds more than 460 working and hazardous materials and returns GHS/CLP‑compliant labels in seconds via configurable filters. The solution automated procurement checks, ensured up‑to‑date safety data sheets, streamlined generation of risk assessments and operating instructions, and linked materials to legal norms—delivering faster access, stronger compliance and greater legal certainty for DATEV.
