JLG Industries partnered with QueBIT to improve its monthly Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process and master scheduling. The company’s manual schedule alignment across 35 assembly lines, 220 products, 10 forecast groups, and up to 24 planning periods took about 10 days each month and created delays in supplier forecasts and financial planning.

QueBIT implemented an IBM Planning Analytics Local (TM1) and CPLEX Decision Optimization solution to automate and optimize master schedule adjustments. The result cut the process from 10 days to about 3 days per month, saved an estimated $700K annually in manual effort, and improved forecast accuracy enough to generate an estimated $2.5M in additional annual savings from fewer shortages and less expediting.
