Figura Analytics cuts liquid analysis from days to 2-3 minutes with Qubiz

Figura Analytics, a spinout from Loughborough University, had a patented method for rapid liquid analysis but lacked the in-house software expertise to commercialize it. Their challenge was to build a high-performance application that could process tens of thousands of data sets per second in real time and transform a highly technical interface into an intuitive product for operators. Partnering with vendor Qubiz through its InQubator program, they needed to turn their scientific breakthrough into a market-ready solution.

Qubiz developed two purpose-built applications: the Figura Data Reader to control hardware and capture data, and the Figura Data Analyser to interpret data using a real-time machine learning fingerprinting algorithm. The solution reduced analysis time from several days to just 2-3 minutes per measurement run while processing over 50,000 data sets per second. Qubiz also delivered a complete interface redesign, making the system simple to operate and enabling Figura Analytics to transform its innovative science into a scalable product.
