Harris Corporation delivers 3 flight units with Quartus Engineering

Harris Corporation approached Quartus Engineering with a challenge to acquire airborne LiDAR systems for a commercial data application. Their requirements for resolution and data rates were extremely demanding, and existing scanning technology was inadequate to meet these goals.

Quartus Engineering provided a complete turnkey solution by designing and fabricating a highly precise LiDAR system. This system incorporated cutting-edge aerospace design, including novel patented scanner technology, and met all technical, structural, and airworthiness requirements. To keep the project on track, Quartus even developed an in-house capability to create specialized holographic optical elements. The effort culminated in the successful delivery of three flight units to the customer.
