St Austell Brewery - Customer Case Study

St Austell Brewery, a Cornwall-based brewer founded in 1851 and maker of brands like Tribute Ale and Proper Job, was operating around 70 vehicles when its existing telematics system proved cumbersome and difficult to use. Depot & Transport Manager Karl Davidson needed an easy-to-access tracking solution to improve driver behaviour, cut accident and maintenance costs, and boost fuel economy.

After installing Quartix in early 2018, the brewery gained clear, mobile-accessible reports, geofencing alerts and named locations for faster customer response. The result: driving scores improved by about 20% (most drivers now scoring 80–100 and articulated drivers consistently 93+), articulated lorry MPG rose from 7 to 10, and accident, maintenance and response times have all been reduced.
