Quartix Temperature Monitoring gives National Veterinary Services peace of mind

National Veterinary Services (NVS), the UK’s largest veterinary wholesaler, needed a reliable, cost-effective way to monitor temperature-sensitive medicines, vaccines and foods across a fleet of more than 150 vehicles to meet regulatory requirements and maintain a next‑day delivery service. As an existing Quartix customer, NVS sought a real‑time solution that could provide precise, continuous temperature oversight across multiple vehicle zones.

Quartix’s Temperature Monitoring system uses the same GPRS tracking as its fleet tools, logging temperatures every two minutes in use (15 minutes when idle), with two customizable probes per vehicle and alerts when readings exceed set limits (sensitivity ±0.5°C between −10°C and 85°C). Data is accessible via an online portal with 12 months’ history and automatic email alerts linking to the affected vehicle, enabling NVS to verify deliveries, reassure customers, prevent product loss and maintain compliance — benefits the fleet manager says are delivered at the right price.
