Rygor Group Services, a Westbury-based provider of distribution, trailer rental, contract hire and warehousing for major UK brands, runs a 120-vehicle fleet averaging about 75,000 miles per truck per year. Managing high mileage, driver schedules, site delays and the cost-versus-benefit of new technology made real-time visibility and efficiency tracking a priority.

Rygor installed Quartix’s internet-based vehicle tracking (backed by the Orange network) to deliver real-time online location, daily emailed logs in HTML/Excel and detailed mileage, speed and route data without extra software. The system has let managers pinpoint delays, optimise drop scheduling and address performance issues with drivers or customers, producing early cost and efficiency gains and increased earnings per truck.
