Penn Jersey Paper Co. (PJP), a foodservice supplier, faced the challenge of migrating its outdated Magento 1 ecommerce store to a modern platform. They engaged Quarry Design Group to not only handle the migration to Magento 2 but also to build a new Progressive Web App (PWA) to deliver a faster, app-like shopping experience for their B2B customers.

Quarry implemented a PWA using React, creating a single codebase for both web and native app functionality. The solution integrated several vendor tools, including Nextopia for search and Yotpo for reviews, and provided native app benefits like installation and push notifications. While the full rollout was still in progress at the time of writing, the project was a technical success.
