TV Gazeta - Customer Case Study

TV Gazeta, a Brazilian broadcast affiliate of Rede Globo, faced the challenge of moving from videotape to file-based production while building a scalable, flexible workflow for ingest, storage, security, and archiving. The station needed a solution that could unify multiple production environments and support its new HD production needs, and it worked with Quantum Corporation and AD Digital to find the right platform.

Quantum Corporation implemented StorNext workflow and archiving technology, including a StorNext Metadata Appliance, StorNext AEL Archive, and Primestream FORK, to create shared storage, automate file movement between disk and tape, and give staff transparent access to assets. The result was a faster, more stable production process that eliminated duplicate files, reduced storage needs and costs, and increased productivity, allowing TV Gazeta to create more content with fewer workflow issues.
