Media Services Center (MSC) is a 50-person audio-visual unit that supplies rich media and a daily 15‑minute broadcast to a top‑secret government agency and intelligence partners. MSC struggled with fragmented workstation storage that prevented collaboration, an unreliable ad‑hoc backup process, and rapidly growing video data that outpaced available storage, causing slow, inefficient production workflows.

Working with Keeper Technology, MSC deployed Quantum StorNext scale-out storage paired with a Quantum Scalar tape library (four LTO drives). The solution enabled file‑level sharing for multiple producers, policy‑driven automated backups and tiering, and easy scalability—resulting in about two hours saved per day on the daily broadcast, roughly a half‑day saved on larger projects, and a more reliable, “set‑and‑forget” infrastructure that can grow with MSC’s needs.
