Crafting a Scalable Video Workflow with Quantum StorNext

Craftsy, an online destination for makers with more than 1,200 video courses and a multi‑studio production operation, was outgrowing its original iSCSI SAN. As content and multi‑camera workflows increased, editors faced capacity struggles, poor storage performance, nightly export failures and the risk of downtime that disrupted production and review cycles.

Craftsy implemented Quantum StorNext (M440 metadata appliance and Q‑Series storage) and integrated a Reach Engine MAM with Adobe Premiere Pro. The appliance deployment was smooth and delivered low‑latency, high‑throughput access—enabling efficient multi‑cam editing, faster and reliable nightly exports (export failures dropped to zero), improved stability, and seamless, pay‑as‑you‑grow scalability by simply adding disk capacity.
