The Baltimore Ravens’ Emmy-winning Ravens Productions needed to modernize how it stored and reused nearly two decades of game and behind-the-scenes footage. A transition to tapeless workflows exposed metadata incompatibilities, overloaded consumer drives and slow content discovery, so the team engaged systems integrator IMT to deliver an open, reliable and scalable solution that had to be live before the 2015 training camp.

IMT deployed an integrated system centered on Quantum StorNext Pro Studio (dual MDC, QXS-1200 SAN) and StorNext AEL500 archive, with Levels Beyond’s Reach Engine MAM, Telestream Vantage transcoding and Adobe Premiere workstations. The pre-configured solution was operational in weeks, giving editors shared, high-performance access to active and archived assets, automated archive migration and integrity checks (EDLM), faster production and easy reuse of 19 years of content, plus improved protection and scalability.
