Far Bank Enterprises, a manufacturer and distributor of fly‑fishing products (brands Sage, Redington and RIO), needed deep-dive, item-level inventory planning and a top-down/bottom-up financial forecasting approach that could connect multiple data sources. To meet this challenge the company adopted Quantrix Modeler (with DataNav) to build hierarchical models that link items to categories, channels and countries for detailed planning.
Using Quantrix Modeler and DataNav, Far Bank pulls data from accounting systems, SQL and Oracle, built a five‑year sales model in 25 days and a detailed budget in 30 days, and established one uniform set of formulas across the model. Quantrix enabled item-level budgeting, rapid what‑if scenarios, and direct calculation of inventory turnover, gross margin and ROI from raw data, producing more accurate forecasts and clearer, scalable decision-making.
