Quantiphi worked with a leading media & entertainment company, one of India’s largest and owned by a Fortune 100 multinational mass media corporation, to address the lack of high-definition metadata for advanced analytics. The customer’s manual, minute-level content tagging process for both new and legacy content was not standardized, scalable, or reliable, making data-backed decision-making difficult.

Quantiphi implemented a machine learning and natural language processing solution to analyze episode text summaries and content attributes, using techniques such as topic modeling, Word2Vec, lexical analysis, and sentiment detection. The solution examined how content features and their progression over time affected TV ratings, and used decision trees to identify key content components and the impact of combinations of features on TVR, enabling more data-driven content analysis.
